A Look Back at a Remarkable Year

December always has a way of inviting reflection. As the days grow quieter and the year draws to a close, I find myself looking back on all that has unfolded — the celebrations, the challenges, the unexpected beauty woven through every season. Before we step into a fresh year of creativity and growth, I want to take a moment to pause, to say happy holidays, and to share a little of what this past year has meant for my studio.

This was a year filled with extraordinary moments. From breathtaking castle weddings to intimate elopements tucked away in hidden corners of Ireland, each celebration carried its own story, its own atmosphere, its own sense of magic. We had the joy of designing for corporate events, too, bringing natural elegance and refinement into spaces that transformed under thoughtful florals.

A highlight I will never forget was creating the most striking arch I’ve ever made — a piece that felt alive, sculptural, and deeply expressive. Moments like that remind me why I love this work.

We also reached milestones that were once only hopes on the horizon. Our designs were featured in three publications — Junebug Weddings, One Fab Day, and Rock n Roll Bride — and we were honoured with a regional business award, followed by a highly commended recognition at the national level in the creative professional category. We closed the year reaching a significant business milestone that still feels surreal, and I am endlessly grateful for every couple, client, and collaborator who made that possible.

Another joy this year was working with exceptional teams of florists whose artistry brought each project to life. We stepped into new venues, including several that had never hosted weddings before, and met so many inspiring clients and vendors along the way. And quietly in the background, a long-held dream began to take shape as we introduced a new product line — a small but meaningful step towards expanding what we offer beyond weddings.

As I look ahead, there is so much to be excited for. Next year, we’ll continue to grow our Silk-ka collection, focusing on refined faux florals for home styling. We’ll also broaden our day-to-day and occasion flowers, creating more opportunities for people to enjoy beautiful design outside the wedding world.

And, of course, weddings remain at the heart of everything we do. Our focus is on elevating our design work even further — embracing luxury, depth, and artistic expression for couples who want florals that feel truly immersive. At the same time, we’ll be continuing to improve the grounds here at the studio, expanding what we grow and deepening our commitment to sustainable floristry.

Thank you for being part of this journey — whether you celebrated with us this year, followed along online, or supported the studio from afar. Here’s to another year filled with creativity, beauty, and the stories still waiting to be told.
