An Intimate Wedding at Ard na Sídhe Country House
There is no more beautiful and intimate venue than Ard na Sídhe Country House. For this wedding, the owner gave the couple special permission to celebrate with just 30 guests — close friends and family only, nothing more.
Our bride only had one request: every floral arrangement needed to simply flow.
We opted for a timeless design in classic colours, with a few quirky flower choices worked in to keep things alive rather than static. During our first venue visit, myself and the bride stood in the entrance hall looking up at the oak staircase, and we both knew instantly: we had to do something with this.
The entire stairway ended up covered in flowers and greenery, creating the most beautiful backdrop for the bridal couple and every guest who passed through. Weddings are, at their heart, about capturing moments — and these were beautifully captured by Michael from Story of Eve.
The design stayed timeless, classic, natural and romantic throughout — hues of white and green, nothing overdone. The bridal bouquet was simple: long-stemmed roses only, giving a clean, modern edge to an otherwise classic palette. On the tables, Ester & Erik candles finished the look.
Some weddings are about scale. This one was about restraint — thirty people, one staircase, and flowers that were allowed to simply flow
